Perched on the shingle of Kingsdown Beach, The Zetland Arms is a much-loved village pub in one of the country’s most picture‑perfect settings. Since 1863 we’ve welcomed locals and visitors alike to enjoy good company, great views and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

By day our terrace looks out over beach huts and the White Cliffs; by evening the sunset and moonlight turn the shoreline into something magical — on a clear day you can even see France.

Owned and operated by the same team behind The Rose and The Blue Pelican, The Zetland Arms combines local hospitality experience with a genuine love for coastal pubs.

We’re proud to be a lively, family-friendly pub where children are very welcome and dogs are treated as part of the family. If you prefer shelter from the breeze, our sun‑trap courtyard at the rear is the perfect escape.
